From the moment you arrive at Camp Kawanhee as a camper, a staff member, or a parent, you become a member of the Kawanhee community—a community whose heart lies on the shores of Webb Lake, a community that binds together the generations, a community that had its start in 1920, when George and Raymond Frank dared to dream of a place where boys could have fun and learn to become young men in a simple lakeside setting in Weld, Maine.
Whether it has been a while since you visited Kawanhee or you were there just yesterday, we want you to become and stay connected. There are several ways you can connect with the Kawanhee community.

Perhaps at periodic recruiting trips we typically hold during the winter months in various cities around the country. We would welcome alumni to connect at these events with existing Kawanheans & potential new families. Or at our reunions. The Centennial, held in August 2022, saw our largest gathering of just under 400 people celebrating Kawanhee. Our next reunion? August 2030, when we will be celebrating our 110th anniversary. Details will feature on the Kawanhee website, on our social media pages & through our emails to those in the Alumni database. we hope to see you there!
Kawanhee Night Outs
Every year on the same evening, usually in March or April, alumni gather in cities around the country & internationally to reconnect & celebrate all things Kawanhee. KNOs are co-ordinated & planned and each participating city has a DoA who designates the location & time. KNOs are publicized through social media and to those in the Alumni database. Not hosting an event in your city? Elect to be the DoA & start a new tradition!
