Kawanhee holds periodic alumni events, often combined with recruiting trips. In addition, Camp Kawanhee held its first reunion in 1988, celebrated its 75thanniversary with a reunion in 1995, and has hosted additional reunions at five-year intervals ever since.” Each reunion since then has attracted a growing group of attendees. We are already planning the Kawanhee Centennial, which will take place in mid-August of 2020. Annual Kawanhee events include the Bass Rock Walk—a winter hike over the ice to Bass Rock, held each year on the Sunday immediately preceding President’s Day; and the annual work weekend over Memorial Day Weekend.
