Gifts of appreciated securities are tax-deductible at full fair-market value if you have owned the asset for at least 12 months. By donating appreciated securities, you can reduce or eliminate your capital gains tax (note: you must donate the actual securities, not the proceeds of their sale, in order to reduce capital gain taxes). For details on how to make this type of gift, please contact Mark Standen (phone: 207-846-7741, email: mark@kawanhee.com).

If you are considering including Kawanhee in your estate plans, recognizing Kawanhee as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy, or making a gift to Kawanhee through a retirement plan, please contact Mark Standen (phone: 207-846-7741, email: mark@kawanhee.com).

Donate memorabilia to Kawanhee’s History Museum. Established in 2010 with generous support from Steve and Diana Yale, the History Museum holds the collections and archives of Camp Kawanhee for Boys. The collections consist of camp publications such as catalogs and the Wigwam, documents, photographs and objects that have been donated by campers, staff members and alumni alike. The Yales, in addition to Michael Altmaier and Tom Pears, have been instrumental in the design, curation, and upkeep of the museum. Some of the collection is being digitized on a growing virtual Kawanhee History Museum. If you have items to donate, please contact Liz Standen at liz@kawanhee.com
